The EY France Attractiveness Survey published this morning reveals that France remained Europe’s third largest recipient in 2016 of job-creating investments, which rose 30% to 779 projects.

The report compares the number of job-creating investments attracted by different countries in Europe using data compiled from public announcements recorded by an investment monitor (managed by British consultancy firm Oxford Intelligence).

France has now been Europe’s leading recipient of industrial investments for more than 15 years. In 2016, it was also the third most popular destination for inward R&D investments.

Perceptions of France’s business image continue to improve, due in part to government promotional efforts, including the ‘Créative France’ international communication campaign that Business France has been running over the last two years.
